Think of the Pats kicker, no one was willing to give that guy the benefit of the doubt over his tattoo and I think in large part that's because we've just experienced so many white athletes expressing horribly racist opinions recently that we're highly skeptical to believe someone's made a choice or statement out of ignorance and not intentional hate.
