Dear OP,

Thank you for this thread. It gives me purpose to go outside my house and take pictures of my garden friends.

-PSP

PS- I am an agoraphobe. This means I have an irrational fear of going outdoors. I am not at all kidding about this. BYOB is an island and refuge, a place for me to be myself, with my own peculiarities- and still feel welcome. That's why I spend the highest percentage of my time here, on SA and BYOB in particular.

So I will use your thread as an opportunity to overcome my irrationality, so that I may contribute to this thread, in a positive manner.

It's a hosta with a grapevine growing in it in front of what appears to be a really loving big white oak! Good garden bud to have.

viva pinata is more realistic than people give it credit for. the nicer your garden is the more creatures will be attracted to it.

pr'lly going to be more of these as there are more forest fires

lizard shows off how really well everything is camouflaged. the only thing that stood out, like I could see without movement, were the grey squirrels.

My Garden bud is now house buddie. Because of birds and stuff.

good thing we have that super-8 footage transferred to vhs and then digitized at 240p, otherwise they'd have gotten away with it

playing with the child we saw a really majestic butterfly, a pretty good dragon fly and that grasshopper from earlier that is now all full grown from eating my corn silks. went inside, got the camera and then all I saw were two flies loving and a yellow jacket

Skunk friends visit my garden and compost pile every night exactly at dusk. There is a mom and two babies (who started off the size of little kittens but are now the size of big kittens). We don't have outside pets so there's no drama, and skunks are incredibly blind so they don't even notice us 12 feet away. They just snurf through the leaf litter for beetles and beech nuts and visit the compost for a fresh treat or two. My girls named them.

This is the mom, Snuffle:

and these are the babies Uppa and Gus

Hello little amigos. Sorry these pics suck
