A bunch of older Nintendo prototypes and source code have leaked, and naturally people are playing around with it all. Most of it is in tweets so I won't copy and paste them all here (plus most of them is in the article), but there's a lot of cool early sprites for Super Mario World, including Yoshi. This leak is massive. From a behind the scenes perspective I'm giddy with excitement at seeing all the cool internal poo poo you'd never usually see. On the other hand this is a massive security breach, and I'm sure the Ninty lawyers are already cracking whips.

Apparently there was a 2nd leak overnight with a bunch of N64 stuff added. The FULL CVS for Super Mario 64 is in it. So people are already talking about compiling the original Space World builds. Luigi exists in the original files.

Unless I'm grossly mistaken Nintendo never ever claimed MQ was Ura Zelda and the simple fact that MQ is the same file size as OOT kind of helps bear that out. You don't need the DD/Expansion Pack to play Master Quest if you ran it on an N64.
