Pretty bland show this week. I don't know if it was bad, it just felt off. Lots of little botches here and there and just didn't feel like it was run the same as other weeks. Almost like they had a different show runner or director. Or, it was just an off week. That'll happen.

It's nice to help your friends and give them chances, but a short-term test is a nice way to do that instead of an immediate 3-year deal or whatever. Also, it sure does suck that the indies are in the shape they're in with COVID because a fun indie run could've (maybe) done wonders for someone like Cardona.

Nobody really looked good in that match. Tay is very bad still. Ariane is better than she was. Anna is okay but has being green as an excuse and Nyla had to work around them. I kinda really love Ariane, though.

She looked better in the second half but she also looks bored most of the time and just isn't all that crisp in general. Isn't she relatively new to wrestling as an NXT wrestler? I don't doubt she could improve and get good especially if they lean into her striking more, but she's still not super great.

Brandi and Allie had the best backstage chemistry which isn't a surprise, but I think if Anna and Tay get to hang out a bit more they could turn into a perfectly good snotty team. I thought Tay's post-match promo was pretty fun.

I know that one clip of her moving at quarter speed is what everyone knows her for, but she at least has some uniqueness in her moveset. What's weird is that I remembered liking her during the Mae Young tournament but then she didn't seem to be as good on weekly TV.

My partner (who watches wrestling with me from time to time, when she doesn't have something else going on) walked into the living room when I was watching BTE last night during the Dark Order segment. Specifically, when Brodie was starting to yell at all of the guys. Her reaction was, "Uhhh what the gently caress are you watching? Shouldn't you be doing this in the bedroom??" Upon closer reflection, yes – the Dark Order bit with a man in a suit yelling at a bunch of jacked guys in tights does seem like the start of a wild porno. I restarted the bit for her and she loved it, especially John Silver, the papers, and the Griff/Jungle Boy confusion when I explained the ongoing plot point there.

Taz and Tony were such a fun team. There was a moment where Tony called out some forearms someone was doing likening them to Vader and Taz was like, "I used to do those, too, ya know!" Then a second later someone picked their opponent up on their shoulders and Tony yells out "He picks him up on his shoulders, JUST LIKE TAZ USED TO DO!" while Taz laughed in the background. It's so nice that everyone can just have fun and be off the cuff all the time.
