I FUCKING HATE POOR PEOPLE BUT I LOVE BEING FUCKED IN THE ASS and having two dishwashers in my CONDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The house I grew up had an intercom in every room, it was actually replaced with a brand new system in the late 90s. We never used it because it was easier to page on the PBX. Had a central vacuum system too.

They still make them but I think anyone in the market for one these days is going to use a PBX and a proper whole house audio system.
