The Royals have been bad, but not because of the bullpen. Their WHIP is pretty pedestrian, but not bad. Same with their 3.00 ERA.

"If" is doing a lot of work in that statement. The most Cardinals bullshit thing will be for them to win the WS this year despite only having played ~10 games, because playoff eligibility was entirely based on winning percentage to keep things "fair".
