Very confusing news regarding Butler. Very cool of him to destroy teams, but now he’s destroying the league.

Butler didn’t leave the bubble? So I wonder what’s up? Maybe he just has indigestion.

Keep in mind this sheriff claimed he was struck in the jaw and had a concussion and also went on to sue for emotional distress.

Watch the long distance cam in the news story: https://www.ktvu.com/news/new-video-sheriffs-deputy-the-undeniably-initial-aggressor-in-toronto-raptors-shoving-match.amp Masai shoves him back once. That’s the alleged shove that so shook him that he hasn’t worked since.

The loving sheriffs still riding that bullshit story about Masai being the aggressor is so loving dumb. But they don't care. Its not their money. They're going to rack up millions in legal bills and pass it on to the loving residents of Alameda county. Also Adam Silver owes Masai a massive apology.

If you actually sift through Houston Rockets internet folks, they're truly one of the most insufferable bunch on the planet. They constantly complain about getting no respect. Then harden wins MVP and they say he still doesn't get respect. Now theres guys who are like "House is being held out for some bogus investigation as part of a league wide conspiracy to hurt the Rockets." Whether its fair or not, in the NBA like a lot of leagues you get knocked hard if you don't win a title. The Rockets haven't even made a finals under the Harden era so it is what it is. But their fan sites love playing the persecuted angle so much and its so funny.

morestuff posted:In general I think most fanbases are the same, just bigger or smaller, but Houston "fan" media does seem way more conspiratorial The insane way they circled the wagons on the Astros stuff too. It went from we didn't cheat to "but other people do it" pretty fast and it was hilarious. And to answer the question, I'm a minnesota fan so don't worry. I'm resigned to the fact that I loving hate everything. And yeah, on the level every fanbase is filled with the dumbest people you'll ever meet and people who if you saw at a sportsbar would be ashamed to be lumped in with. OF course the larger and more successful a given team is the louder and stupider people of that fanbase will be amplified. With all that being said, the sense of aggrievement (is that a word?) from Rockets fans (not here really) but at large is just so funny. You don't get respect til you win a title and thats just the way it is. And coincidence or not, reputations like Harden's for folding when it counts aren't completely imagined. Bottom line, I love to see fanbases suffer. morestuff posted:Also one of my guilty pleasures is immediately going to a SBNation fan site after a terrible loss...or the NFL thread often throws up the local talk radio station link after a terrible loss. It doesn't get better than hearing salty Chicago Bears fans whine.

I live in LA and its also fun to hear all these guys talk about the "dark years" before Lebron. Which was literally 6 seasons of not making the playoffs but still a few season of gunslinger Kobe. Yeah it sucked but it was just so funny to see them all complain about how terrible it is and how hosed up it was until Lebron showed up. yeah yeah you're used to winning, I get it. Thats why I am really hoping the Clippers make the finals. A Clippers vs Celtics finals would make the Lakers fanbase immolate.

I've been in LA for over a decade and its been a wild ride to see the ups and downs.

Then she shouldn’t have made it past all those security checkpoints to get to the drat room anyway, lol! That’s what I don’t understand! If they were really concerned about security and keeping the bubble safe this ole girl shouldn’t have been able to get to his drat room! I still wouldn’t discount a possible setup going on. I don’t think the girl was involved in setting him up or she would’ve ratted him out instead of trying to involve Chandler and another unnamed player who was probably another scrub who doesn’t play. But I think possibly she set off red flags and could have stopped but they decided to let it play out and nail him (after she nailed him, lol!) after the fact. You know how bad they want LeBron in the finals. Hell, LeBron’s camp knew the details before seasoned NBA investigate reporters did! I wouldn’t even put it past Lebron’s circle being involved from the jump!

Summary of amazing posts from around the internet:Houston Fans posted:Welp, the league managed to finagle a way to get a key Rockets player Houston Fans posted:As far as storyline goes. Either we have LeBron winning another chip to solidify his "legacy" or have him passing the torch to Kawhi like Magic Johnson passing the torch to MJ in his first finals win. And all these people out there who say I’m just a "conspiracy theorist" are plain naive! Listen to Tim Donaghy. The league doesn’t outright script the outcomes like professional wrestling but each ref crew gets memos before every game on things the league wants them to watch out for and things they want you to make an emphasis on calling. They try and manipulate the outcome as much as possible. Just like a dealer at a casino. People can still win from time to time and beat the house but you’re basically playing with a fixed deck every time. Houston Fans posted:Welcome to the World of Houston Sports.

If its like most hotels, you'll have a security camera pointing from each end of the hallway so they were able to see someone go in and not leave for a long time. That said, I do think that means someone to get this all started did have to snitch.

If you reveal publicly any little weakness, it can affect your team’s ability to believe in you in the toughest spots and it can definitely encourage others on the other side to come after you.”
