Whittaker qualified for the commonwealth games in wrestling. Granted, the commonwealth countries generally aren't the elite of the world's wrestling but it's still demonstrative of elite grappling.

So in UFC 4, you can have open weight fights which is neat. Problem is, the height difference only functions on the feet and as soon as the grappling happens, both fighters become the same height. Here's someone's video of Lineker vs Struve. As soon as Struve gets on the mat, he shrinks by 3 feet and it's amazing. Refs are damned if they stop it early and damned if they don't and in sports, people tend to say the best thing a ref can be is invisible. So they should always aim to do it early if it's touch and go because it will have a tangible benefit for the defeated fighter and i'd much rather see a massively poo poo early stoppage than a massively poo poo late one like when Aldo was murdered by Yan
