We want the ball & We're going to score
Why did the league make every series have at least 1 back to back gameday? Seems pretty simple to have 4 games per day for 14 days. Also they should have started the games earlier, even 1 hour still keeps 1 matchup in prime time for the coasts and caters to the Central teams in the west.

should have been something like on repeat with earlier game times on Sat/Sun
Toronto early (2pm ET/11am PT): TB-CBJ, BOS-CRL
Toronto prime (7pm ET/4pm PT): MTL-PHL, NYI-WSH
Edmonton early (430pm ET/130pm PT): COL-AZ, LV-CHI
Edmonton prime (930pm ET/630pm PT): VAN-STL, CGY-DAL

It's funny seeing the STL people complaining about the three 930pm CT starts and the VAN fans complaining about the one 330pm start.

I think it's a scheduling conflict. The flood waters have the space reserved for certain time blocks. Also, I don't mind the back to backs seeing as there isn't any travel. Probably means more injuries, but I have a feeling we're about to see a whack of those in the coming weeks anyway.

:toxx:
For making the playoffs, 25 to RAINN
If they win round one, 25 to the Milwaukee Bike Collective
If they win round 2, 25 more to RAINN.
Conference? 25 to the co-op.
The Cup? 25 each for both.

Current total: 25 to RAINN

The Blues got the poo poo beat out of them by the Knights, Avs, and Stars and showed no signs of life in any of the games. It's gonna be Vancouver 4-1.

Can't remember where general, tangentially-NHL-related news goes at this time of year but, if you're not reading the eliminated thread, let's see how things are going in the KHL:

quote:

Meal money that had been promised was never paid. Instead, Kasper said he relied on his Marriott status to eat most of his meals in the concierge lounge.

“But obviously, you can’t eat the same thing every night,” he said, “and … the lounge is more about hors d’oeuvres than actual meals.”

I'm all in on the Isles.

My body is so loving ready for playoff beast-mode Pageau. Get ready Isles fan(s?)!

Just going to put these posts to remind you all of what the greatest hockey player has done

quote:

Four For 44
In Game 2 of the 2017 Eastern Conference Semifinal, Pageau became the first player in Senators’ history to score four goals in a playoff game, including the winner in overtime, as the Sens beat the New York Rangers 6-5. Ottawa clawed back from three 2 goal deficits in the game to win 6-5, with Pageau’s OT winner completing a natural hat trick.

quote:

Playoff Hat Trick Vs Montreal
In May of 2013, the Sens made room for Pageau on their first-round playoff roster as they prepared to face Montreal, the #2 seed in the Conference that season. Pageau had played just 9 regular-season NHL games that season and would play only 28 more the following season. But, in that series, Pageau was magic against Montreal, a team he would generally torment for the next six seasons. On May 5th, Pageau scored three times in Game 3 in a 6-1 Ottawa victory. Pageau became just the second player in Senators history to score a hat trick in the playoffs (Daniel Alfredsson did it in 1998). The rookie Pageau faced the media that night with the game puck and a happy, bloody smile, courtesy of an errant high stick that night from P.K. Subban. Adding insult to injury, Ottawa also dominated a huge line brawl near the end of the game – one that many fans call the best Sens’ game they’ve ever been to.

also the only good Ole chant.

Yeah, pretty much this. All the games I saw were pretty bad but that blues-Stars game was a loving joke. Jamie Benn ain't getting sweaty for a better chance at the last change in Edmonton.

Don't get me wrong, that shootout win was like their first W in 8 games or something and they look like poo poo, but I'm not going to judge the teams based on that joke of a round-robin.
