now that I’ve had a couple days, I’m so let down by the Blackpink album. Not even one of these songs come close to the quality of anything from Blackpink In Your Area(other than Stay, I think that one stinks). The songs are all toothless and it really seems like they tried to cater to their “Western” sound way too much. Went away from what made them special.

Red Velvet are super good and they just seem to keep getting better. Jeongyeon from Twice is out of second album promo activities, anxiety related reasons according to the official statement. It's good that they're actually allowed to rest and get help but this is the second time that it's happened to a member now. Also, Twice have a track on the upcoming K/DA EP which just strikes me as one of those things they didn't need to do and they should have just let everyone rest instead.

AKMU is hella popular in SK, yeah. They're not idols and the GP loves them. This is good timing to get into them tbh, Chanhyuk finished his military service early this year so you're catching them as their hiatus ends.

Twice stuff is p hit or miss for me, but the more of their b-sides I hear the more I wonder if it's just their singles that don't always hit me right. Hello I can't stop listening to Taemin's new track Criminal I stopped listening to kpop seriously around 2013 and then really lost it in 2017 (was a big SHINee fan) but BTS have pulled me back and I'm loving the current hip-hop focus/all the girl groups. also Criminal I'm thinking about pre-ordering the new BTS album but it's $100 here and that seems excessive even by kpop fan standards.

I'm kinda glad I don't really care about anything that k-pop albums usually include, otherwise I'd be broke in a heartbeat. Speaking of Taemin, his newest album is really good, but I'm blown away by how much I love the SuperM album. The singles really grew on me, "One" is a banger and every b-side is mad catchy.
