YES. Let’s post cool matches from our local obscure indies! Specifically I want matches from promotions most people won’t even have heard of, hopefully featuring people we won’t know. I’ll start. Despite there being little of it and the fanbase being so small here in Finland, there’s still some very good pro wrestling to be found here. Here’s a match I’d like you to watch. Musta aukko (Pyöveli Petrov, Viktor Tykki & The San w/ Mahtava Perkules) vs Kolme ässää (Make Smooth, Jami Aalto & Shemeikka), Elimination match @ FCF Wrestling Show Live! Omega 2018, 5/26/2018 https://youtu.be/eJUu1KMpvcU This match was a part of a very long, multi-year story about the heel faction Musta aukko taking over FCF, eventually even turning FCF events into Musta aukko-branded shows, NWO style. This was around let’s say the middle part of that story. Just a really fantastic match with lots of background and storyline development for everyone involved, some of which I’ll have forgotten so I won’t go into it too much. A very important piece of history however is that Shemeikka (face wrestler with lucha mask) and Tykki (Kevin Owens-shaped bruiser heel) debuted around the same time in late 2016 and were a tag team until Tykki turned on Shemeikka and joined Musta aukko. Also, The San only debuted at the previous show so he’s a bit green (dude has made tremendous progress in the last two years, though!). Also the Terminator stuff isn’t (only?) because Kenny Omega made it cool. Shemeikka has a giant Terminator tattoo on his arm! Workrate-wise it might not the best match in FCF history but I do think it’s really drat good, the story beats were hit perfectly and the atmosphere was electric, so I consider it one of the high points in their history. Video package did a very good job of explaining the backstory. Smartly worked street fight with literally all the trappings and room for some wrestling too. Thought those two told an effective story. Good stuff!
