This is actually a seam issue.

So all you need is a thread that is not poo poo.
And a normal needle as the holes are there.

Now what you should ask yourself is.

If its broke here from use , what else is done ?

Take the glove.
loving tug it in all directions.
If NOTHING else pops mend it.
If not the carcass of leather is used up.

I've been a little unhappy with my old winter helmet, a 509 delta r3
https://www.ride509.com/delta-r3-helmet?quantity=1&size=75&color=107

Build quality was mediocre, it was too drafty for my kind of riding(touring at road speeds not jumping around getting hot), some features was not designed properly as having the roost guard/ sun shade at the lowest setting scratched the visor and optical correctness through the dual pane heated visor was not the best.

So I got the BRP/ski-doo oxygen helmet. It has actual ear muffs inside that you can dismantle to insert a Sena/cardo speaker, magnetic power cable for the heated visor and a proper glove friendly internal sun shade that's in a heated area in the helmet, so it's not foggy when you drop it down.

The snowmobile/scooter world is a strange intersection between totally utilitarian rein herders/ semi sensible snow tourers/weeded up gnarly dudes that do at least 3 loops at any jump.. Brps products fall into all those spheres since the market Vs motorcycles is relatively tiny. I think his look is a total marketing intersection that doesn't offend any of those too much.

Revit has their own range of armour, including 2 types of non newtonian if you want to upgrade.
https://www.revitsport.com/en/learning-center/revit-protection-technology/

Are the pads marked with protection level? If so they'll do their job.
I'd say softer armours helps with two things other than most likely better crash rating than stock.

1. Will softer armour make it more likely that you bother to put it on at all? -not the issue here
2. or make you feel more comfortable so you can pay more attention to the road?

Here in Norway its actually mandatory to have a reflective vest with you, so you can put it on asap when there is an accident.
That's on both bikes and in cars.
In cars it has to be in reach from the driver seat. On a bike it can be where ever.
All motorcycle stores carry 5 usd/5euro pack small vests that fit under the seat of a bike.

It's not mandatory to ride with one on.

A motorcycle tool kit for me is the tool kit you bring along, not what you use in the garage.

blue mesh bag to keep everything in. waterproof stuff sack + baggage mesh straps to randomly carry a grocery bag on any bike.
First aid kid with extra compresses. tire foam + chain lube. digital tire gauge w/led light. hi wiz west. mini-size multimeter. Wire repair kit.
misc tools. my knipex is the size too small, its 1" max. I still need the bike specific kit for 32mm and similar for rear wheels .

I've had 2 versions of the handroid pod gloves, it's the shortie non-gauntlet version. I like them a lot, so I rebought it when the leather wore through on the fingers after about 40k miles of use.
They're pretty drat comfortable after getting broken in, and feels solid. I've not crashed in them though.

I also have the Orsa leather for warmer days.

I like their summer gloves, but I can't recommend their winter/waterproof variants. Their membrane is not as good as goretex as it does not vent hand sweat well + sizing on the winter gloves is messed up vs insulation and fingers. The fingers are too slim in the correct palm size, not taking proper account for their insulation layer.

Any waterproof glove should have a viper on the left glove somewhere. If not the designer has failed. Sure you can angle your head a little in the airstream to move some beads, but if it's only intermittent rain it's nice to get the droplets at least a little wiped away before it dries.

I've now done my first longer rides + listened to some music with the sena HD/50s upgrade speakers, both in mesh mode and Bluetooth mode.
They're a good upgrade. Better sound quality, higher volume.
And I need to find my dad a used sena 30k because fuuuck going back to more than 2 riders on Bluetooth mode both the the added radio noise and the pair/drop out bullshit.
He's on a 20s and me and my brother uses 30k units.

Cross brand comparison is always difficult.

Innovation, actual good and breathable fabrics that protects just aren't what most deliver.
Look into what both manufacturers actually say their mesh stuff is. Research to get an overview of what is buzzwords Vs what's actually tested.
Your airwave 3 might actually be a, in the realm of mesh jackets, a good jacket. It also might be "cordura". Ok, what weave, what tensile strength. The less info a manufacturer has on a jacket usually the more crap it is. If it was good their marketing had added a bragging bullet point.

Google that poo poo.

My brother has a pair of rukka goretex gloves that gets a nasty funk, to the level that your hands smells like gym socks afterwards. Normal washing didn't remove it properly.
Solution was brewers sanitizer https://www.amazon.com/Star-San-B0064O7YFA-San-32/dp/B0064O7YFA?th=1 normally diluted and good manual machine wash in a lidded bucket.
Rinsed it in water after 15min of soak.
Didn't harm the gore Tex membrane and the leather.

Can you guys recommend something like the Airwave 3 except goretex-ed?

I.e. light, breathable, not mesh, goretexed (so waterproof)?

I need some trousers particularly.

Does not exist sadly. Actually breathable and waterproof is not here yet. The solution for air and goretex for now is either layers or high end goretex with a silly amount of vent zippers like klim badlands.

In practice, the zippers help but you are no where near actual mesh. But when the weather turns you just zip up Vs get a layer from the luggage you are then forced to bring.

Klim adventure gtx boots review

I wanted a high boot after latest owning and selling on the sidi adventure 2 mid boots. They where decent in protection and waterproof with the goretex. The fail point was for my use case is that mid length means I jammed a foot peg hard into my right foot just above the boot when my rear slipped into the ditch riding around a not yet melted snow drift.

I've owned some formas, tcx adv and some alpinestars toucans that lasted 2 1/2 year, before sole rim construction poo poo the bed and leaked. Astar warranty is useless after 2 years, didn't find a local cobbler worth his poo poo to fix it.

The klim adventure gtx got a pretty high toe box. Here is compared to klim havoc(winter snow cross) and my brothers current pair of toucans.

Pros:
Waterproof with goretex, tested 5+ hours in rain 2 days in a row now.
Grippy sole, no issues in mud, wet stones, grass, recently washed gas station floor.
Stiff carcass, but good walkability.
Klim warranty.
Wide toe box, not sidi Italian.
Boa laces for adjusting fit.

Cons:
High price
High toe box, you need to adjust the gear lever.
Narrow at the lower shin area, check fit before buying.
Boa laces so you have to consciously set fit each time, not just 3 clasps, done.

Overall, I'll keep them.

Save yourself the hassle and just pick up an off-the-shelf midweight wool zip-up or something.

Yup, I got like 4 different thickness merino thermal midlayers with zip up neck and same thickness pants. Thinest is ok up to 68f/20cwith some vents open, thickest I run in winter with winter gear down to 0f/-20c.
No "anti bacterial" silver threads whatever plastic based zip in is going to have the insulation properties, even when wet, and not reek day 3 as wool has.

Speaking of, I've recently started having an issue with my 10S where (I think) the pins on the unit aren't contact the base properly when it's clicked in, leading to loss of volume in one speaker and intermittent microphone operation. It's been slowly going for a while but only this week has it gotten so bad that no amount of prodding it will make it stay in position while riding.

Not sure how to fix it really other than gluing the unit permanently to the base.

Electronic cleaner in spray form and massage the pins. Known issue on the 20s/30k, the contact pins recess down into the base when you click the unit on. Over time the build-up of road dust and grime makes the pins not firmly extend back up.

Windchill and wet chill (the soaking of water in the garment even with a bonded outer waterproof membrane) is the main cause of feeling cold.

Three mayor points is:
reduce temp loss, (windproof)
Keep current temp(insulate)
supply external heat at vital areas.(heated gear)

1. Heated grips/gloves
Heat input into your hands are vital and and a major source of comfort too. Even with soaked gloves, if they are hot you are more annoyed, not dangerously cold.
2.windproof everywhere. Windchill is real and it's effect is more prominent the colder the ambient temperature is.
3. Layer up with wool or use heated under garments. In boots chemical one use pads are available.

Advanced class.
Sub zero you want bar muffs, heated visors and studded tires on m+s rated tires.
No waterproof membrane works good as good as gore tex.(1) just pay the premium and be done with it.
(1) there are some specialist membranes from hiiiigh end outdoor outfitters that are on par with gore, but a random Italian motor cycle clothing shops in-house membrane is usually poo poo. Waterproof but no breathability.

Tldr: be windproof first.

On the other end of the scale if you are like 2 brothers and the dad mesh is soo good. We got him a sena 30k like we have and sold his old 20s Sena so all we need to get riding com wise is "hit power buttons, antenna must be up, hit the mesh button.
No " oh you do two presses, I do 1 press on the bt com button, oh wait you need press once" while all have all gear on sweating like pigs.

AND NO loving NOT PERFECT TOTALLY ALL IN LINE OF SIGHT SIGNAL NOISE.

So slow riders and field stretching out is not a cacaphony of interference. Sidecar with passenger (slow) and single rider brappo can go in and out of range without reconnecting via buttons and no drat radio noise.
