List of lists I love to find in public, and collect:
1. Shopping lists left in the cart from whoever's used it before me
1a. When my husband worked for Trader Joe's, he'd find them constantly and bring them home for my amusement
2. Lists of books people are looking for in the library, found either in the stacks or a book I checked out

Sadly the rise of smartphones has meant a decline in paper shopping lists at grocery stores. And libraries are still closed here thanks to covid.

I miss my fix of found lists.

List of places JD has lived since falling on some rough times in late 2018:

Unheated basement, Jan 2019 to June 2019
Camper van on a farm with crazy farm owners, July 2019 to October 2019
Shared house in sketchy neighborhood with nightly shootings and paranoid housemate, October 2019 to June 2020
My car and a storage unit, June 2020 to August 2020
Room at a motel populated by meth addicts, August 2020 to today

List of things that made JD cry upon finally getting her own place and signing a lease today:

Privacy
Not having to pee/poop in a bucket
If bathroom exists, not having to hold it in while crazy roommate takes 45 minute shits
A bathtub
A kitchen all my own, with sexy Whirlpool appliances so I can cook something beside frozen dinners
Beautiful hardwood floors, cabinets, ceiling fans, closets for days
I might be able to get a cat again
Not being homeless and having an actual mailing address

List of things JD can do now, which is making her cry a little again:

Set up a desk to make art again
Set up my music-making PC and gear, contribute more to Goon Music thread and my Bandcamp
Re-start my hot sauce business now that I have a kitchen
Make an herb garden with some window boxes
Rest easy knowing I can make lentil soup for New Year's
Make more lists, like Things I Need to Buy (trash cans, a Swiffer, and apparently tissues if I keep crying like this)

List of things that sucked today:
1. Driver's side car door broken; having to crawl in/out thru passenger side

2. Wore white T-shirt to work and had to make 5 gallons of strawberry jam

3. Just knocked my bong over so my attic and I smell nasty, and I lost a whole freshly packed bowl o' weed

4. Sally didn't include Raiden in their list of best MK characters

List of things that rocked today:

1. No one can steal my car (easily) now

2. I needed to downsize my T collection anyways

3. I have clean, fresh bongwater

4. Sally's the only one that I'm aware of that took on my mod vs mod shitposting PYF holiday challenge, and I'm chuffed

Reasons why Today Has Been a Good Day

Got a good night's sleep
Didn't have to scrape my car's windshield in the dark at 5:30am before I go to work, for the first time in like a month
Boss at my kitchen was trying out some new seafood dishes, so I got fed all the scraps of sushi-grade tuna and salmon for breakfast, because none of my co-workers like raw fish
Boss actually listened to one of my suggestions for kitchen equipment and ordered it
Pitched an idea for new work T-shirts, which was met with enthusiasm
Got off work early
Diggin' this Amelie Lens mix
Cleared the PYF reports so that's done and I can be a poster, not a mod (for now)
Enjoying the last afternoon of sunny, springy (high 50's F) weather before it rains for the next eight days
Re-potted a beautiful begonia that was given to me as a housewarming present back in November
Husband did all the laundry last night, so I have clean socks for days

Reasons why Today Will Suck, But Just For a Bit

Man, I hate collating socks
