It may never go away now because of that, and unless you're lucky enough to have people who you trust to help, a human being can only spend so much of their life trawling for footage of their own victimisation, so PornHub essentially wins by attrition in most of these cases. Also yknow they hosed the professional porn market really badly and made things worse for performers in general as a meta point about ethics in the sex industries, but for me the rampant child abuse imagery and footage of sexual assaults would be the big one. It's a good article that's worth reading.

Tbh CSPAM doesn't strike me as remarkably different to the general state of the online left as of right now, it's just that the online left is in a loving state across the board. It might just be a function of the way internet spaces work, idk, but everyone tries to do their venting and their work in the same place and it just becomes miserable, because practicality cockblocks venting and venting screams down practicality. Idk I wrote a whole thing here about constructively indulging your anger and target selection but it wasn't very interesting and just boils down to the fact that anger is like steam in that it can be deadly up close and extremely powerful yoked to harness but from a distance it's just kind of a damp annoyance that gets waved away.

I fancied a name change and there was a picture of a small ghost nearby. I also changed my avatar by googling "small ghost" and picking the cutest small ghost in the first page of results. Only afterwards did I realise there's another poster with the same avatar w. the subtitle "petit mort" and now i feel awkward about it but not enough to be bothered to change it.
