I think the Umps handled it well last night, they immediatly ejected Cordero after he plunked Contreras. They didn't toss the coaches until Renteria came running out to argue for 3 minutes and the pitching coach was just sitting in the dugout losing his mind at the Umps so he got tossed too. Warnings were issued after the fact and Cubs didn't retaliate so hopefully that's the end of it.

Contreras basically had zero reaction and you could see him and Tim Anderson chatting at 2nd.

So if the Marlins lose to the Yankees, the Reds lose to the Twins, and the Brewers beat the Cardinals (who then go on to drop at least one of the enforced Monday doubleheader against the Tigers), then half the NL playoff field will come in at .500 or lower.

Also somehow the Phillies are still alive despite being 3 games below .500.
