Beeftweeter posted:also i just could not get through the IT crowd, even back when it was first on comedy central. i'm sure i'd hate it if i watched it today if you really want to torture yourself, there's an american pilot with everyone recast except of moss and it's extra big bang theory style pauses and pacing

Agile Vector posted:we did, too. we're doing a ds9 watch/rewatch, so the anomalies jokes landed extra well for a second there i was wondering if they were going to let our bradward stay dead and have him replaced by his section 31 transporter duplicate, afaik they haven't done anything with that plotline from the previous season yet. but who knows, maybe they have and that's the point lol regardless, i liked that bit a lot too. t'lyn seemed a little extraneous at first to me, but she actually served a purpose there. she's growing on me pretty quickly, like even if i weren't aware of people from the show taking notes from the forums it honestly is pretty good writing that imo elevates the show above its medium and i've been meaning to get around to the stitch in time audiobook, maybe i'll start it this weekend. i'm sure it's good, andy robinson owns bones

oh yeah i would absolutely listen to the audiobook its delightfully fun and is exactly the kind of fanfic i wanted to close out my favorite tailor i also bung out the first six dragonriders of pern novels by anne mccaffrey. they are pretty fun 70s style scifi/fantasy from before those two concepts diverged and they were easy airplane reads. im actually surprised nobodys made a lovely amazon series of it because its a fun lil political romp and i could easily see it as a 10 ep per season for 4-6 seasons prestige drama.

been watching a bunch of the Hip Hop movies on Criterion channel, like Beat Street and Wild Style. funny part is I've had those soundtracks for years, just never seen the movies! and now I know that the very first track on the Beat Street soundtrack is the last track in the movie, and gives away a rather important plot point lol. gg whoever compiled the album

i watched the barbie movie. it was pretty good. i loled quite a few times. i probably would've liked it a lot more if not for some goings-on that had nothing to do with the movie

TITANIUM NOIR is currently on Kindle sale for 99p (may also be cheap in other territories) - never head of, but the pull quote Cross-genre brilliance from the superbly talented Nick Harkaway - William Gibson got me to wager a quid https://www.amazon.co.uk/Titanium-Noir-Nick-Harkaway-ebook/dp/B0BB1NVT25

Also I don't have the patience to get into UE5 and all the adjacent tools, but I do love just how in-inverts "simple" stuff like this has become https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5hBBFM2I_w The photogrammetry especially has moved on generations since I last looked at it like a year back.

TOR have a freebie compilation ebook of the short fiction they have put out over the last few months: https://www.tor.com/2023/09/15/download-the-tor-com-summer-2023-short-fiction-bundle edit: ps. epub is a couple megs too big to use the 'email to device' function for Amazon / Kindle, if you want to do that please download the proper copy from TOR for their metrics, and then you can use: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/rhksvoyjyn7hsn5htl2wg/Torcom-Summer-2023.epub?rlkey=azujhvkijys3nh24sx72xqfw8&dl=0 less than 2mb and seems to be all fine NoneMoreNegative fucked around with this message at 18:03 on Sep 21, 2023 |
