Yeah I read them in my late teens so a long time back - I remembered Seldon, his exile and a few disjointed bits but the TV series might as well have been all-new for me. It was only when I went back and re-read the first chapter of book 1 I realised that Gaal was originally a young man in the story...

Finished up THE PERIPHERAL S1, I enjoyed it although the Gibson in the writing seems to have been sanded down a lot. Interested to see where they go with the various plot strands in S2, there didn't seem to be a huge amount of resolution of things at the end of S1. I really liked the actors they had for Lowbeer and Cherise, the scene with the two of them playing off against each other was a high point in the series for me. Also the costuming was top-notch, 100% my vibe    Also did ep1 of SILO, never read the books but I thought this was a good start to a series, the reveal of the info about the Silo and its inhabitants was perfectly paced across the runtime. I bought the Samson MediaOne BT4 bluetooth bookshelf speakers on a deal a few years back and for general day-to-day music listening (I had them set up in the kitchen for while I was cooking etc) they did perfectly well. No buzzing or crackling, maybe a tiny bit bass-heavy, but so much better than even the best Anker Bluetooth portable speaker I used before then. Anyone know if there's a good solution to sending L+R front surrounds plus the Center speaker from a 5.1 setup over wireless that works well and doesn't have appreciable lag..?

I have wires under the carpet for L+R&C now but I want to put some wood flooring down at some point and not have the wires trapped for ever in case I want to move stuff around.
