I've still spent my whole life living in a place surrounded by the worst chuds available, fighting them and decrying their stupid regressive bullshit with every breath I take. Education alone is rarely the answer, in my experience.

It's unfortunate that the purge series got immediately loved by the real life villains of the series, because every film in the series has the protagonists as being anti-purge, and it's called out fairly conclusively as insane and utterly wrong, a tool of an oppressive right-wing autocracy that's now controlling the United States (drawing upon current right-wing/fash/white supremacist trends for inspiration in the later movies). Again, it's been turned into poe's law in action simply by the murderous right-wing dickheads in real life who don't get the movies at all other than desiring to murder their liberal neighbors and rape their young children, just like the cool badasses in the movies.
