I don't remember when spirit halloween became a thing, it feels like all of a sudden they were established and long running.

Waiting to see what new pumpkin carving patterns came in at Walgreens has a special place in my heart, even if they were usually the same.
The older i got, the more sentimental weight pumpkin carving held for me. I love it as this "silly" art project with it's beauty and value tied up in its very temporary existence. It doesn't have to be true to anything but it's own moment, no matter how ridiculous. Yes i've been doing mid term advanced critiques for the past two weeks why do you ask?
I like the precision of the stencils and tiny saws, but I also like free handing a classic simple shape jack o lantern. That just means I carve two :getin:
