the best fried fish i have ever had was at prosperity social club it's so good they got a local micro to make a custom beer to pair with it. it's called 'gotta haddock' comes with a side of asiago mac and vinegar slaw. sweet jesus

I haven't have many fish tacos, virtue of living in the south pacific, but the few I have had have been good now I want fish tacos regardless, and perhaps this is a trashy nz thing, but sometimes when we get fish n chips a takewaays, I put the fish in between white bread and have a deep fried fish sandwich its good

when i was 19 i had a severe allergic reaction to some snapper, went to the hospital and everything. doctors told me i was allergic to white fish, so no cod, halibut, etc. then a few months ago i went back to get re-tested and the allergy was just gone. the doctor didn't seem surprised by it, so i guess you can get better. anyway i've been on a voyage of fish discovery for a few months and man has it been great

indian cooking is intimidating to me because every article is 3,000 words about how every single household's spice mix is 15-20 different spices out of a menu of 300, this is just how it is, anyways, here's the recipe, enjoy buying 17 jars of $5 spices that - oh by the way, go stale after three months! - to make dinner. I might be off though, but it has always seemed like a challenge.

I started making curries with the pre made spice packs and then eased into it. Once you get the core 5 or so spices you can make a lot of stuff without getting the more exotic ones
