So I'm on PS4, can someone give me a precis of what advice I should and shouldn't be taking here? I have never played any of these games, I got this because it looks beautiful and I've never played Breath of the Wild. II have been just burning wishes on the Venti banner and the permanent one whenever I get them or currency to buy them. Is that a mistake? Do I just count the records on the "history" page to see where I am on these "pities"? I have 12 full pages and 3 on the last one so I guess I have pulled 75 times, so I should get Venti or another 5* character in 15 pulls? Is it worth spending REAL DOLLAR BILLS to get to 90 before 10/18? I just got a Skyward Atlas from the permanent banner so I was super happy to see that come up in conversation on the last page here. Should I use that on Barbara instead of the Dragon Slayer book (+48% dmg for 10s on other chars is really nice!)? Does raising one character/weapon to 40 affect level scaling or anything? I got Diluc so I have been just min-maxing him. I've maxed and refined a bloodstained sword for him but I got a sacrificial and favonius greatsword, either of those worth switching too even though they are level 1? Last question, I switched my main char to Geo but her main spell creates this like giant pot with an earth crystal inside which seems to be mainly good for having my character accidentally jump onto and hang there like spiderman getting rocked. What is that? Why do I want that?

Thanks, it sounds like I'm not doing anything horribly wasteful then. I guess the only other question is should I be doing anything special with resin? I killed two rubik's cubes out in the wild and I had to spend resin to collect my prize. Is there any reason I should be saving it or using it in some other way? I'm trying to avoid too many spoilers because it's fun to just run around and encounter stuff. I went ahead and tossed them $20, this feels a lot more like an AAA game than a mobile conversion. This is a really fun game, I hope they move away from the mobile game stuff in favor of more console-like multiplayer/co-op.

So I got Mona on my 79th pull from the Venti Banner, does that mean I have to do 90 more to get Venti? Is that even worth doing with it being over on the 18th?

Working on getting about 12 more pulls to get Venti before the banner is up. Curious if I could clear Abyss 4 or higher, that seems to be the best source of pull currency for me atm. Is there something better to do to get some more pull bucks? Here is my crew:  I'm using Diluc (no constellation) as DPS with Fischl and Barbara who both have all but their last constellation. I also have Xiangling in reserve with a Crescent Pike and Mona with a Skyward Atlas among others. I mainly don't have a good way to corral/group enemies and Fischl doesn't really take advantage of the electro buff on level 4. Curios what my best investment is right now or a better strategy, I basically buff with Barbara (dragon tome) whenever I remember, drop the bird with Fischl, attack with Diluc who has 900 ATK. I mainly use traveller when I need some non-fire elemental attacks, I'm just hearing about combining fire with fire so I wonder if Xiangling would be better than traveller. I have a favonius and sacrificial greatsword if either would be better for Diluc.

I have heard great things about Mona, I think I'll use here - the fire/fire/electro/electro combo sounds pretty good. edit: well right after I posted I did a single pull and got Venti so I guess he should be worked into one of those combos....

So I hit abyss 5 and I guess I need to decide on my final three Abyssal Waifu. Right now I run Diluc as DPS with Barbara as heals and Fischl or Xiangling for support. These are all level 51-60, AR 30, Diluc has about 1350 ATK, Fischl and Barbara are both C5. This absolutely wrecks almost anything but I do struggle with enemies made of fire and with getting chain-frozen because of Barbara's wetness. I ran a 10 pull on the new banner and got Jean and Sucrose to go with Bennet, Mona, Kaeya, Noelle, Ningguang. So I have a lot of healer options, just not sure who my last DPS and Support are. I hear good things about both Jean and Ningguang as DPS, and Bennet is supposed to be a no-brainer pick for the Abyss. My only 5* weapon is a Skyward Atlas and I'll have a BP Bounty pick available this week. Also am I going to have to level Kaeya since he's my only source of cold?

Right now for Abyss 5+ I am thinking Venti/Diluc/Fishcl/Bennet and Mona/Xiangling/Jean/Barbara. I also have Noelle and Ningguang available. I haven't levelled Mona, Jean or Bennet, yet. Does anyone see anything horribly wrong with this before I pour another 50 pounds of xp books into the furnace? Will I be in trouble having a pyro main DPS on each team, or for having no cryo or geo?

So my Diluc is 70 now with a Prototype Animus, at what point do I start stacking Crit%? Right now I have Pyro%-ATK%-ATK% artifacts. My big problem now is getting my 2nd team tuned. Xiangling/Jean/Mona/Barbara, Xiangling does a ton of damage but I'm finding it hard to group up enemies and I wind up wasting a lot of ultimates on 1 or 2 monsters. Jean just seems to shotgun them. Maybe Venti has me completely spoiled. I did get 3xSucrose with this new banner so I could maybe sub her in, when I did Co-Op domains she seemed good at it.

So I am hitting AR40 soon, Diluc and Venti at c0 and 70 on character and weapon, Fischl and Barbara at c5 and 60-62. I thought I would go to WL 5 but I am hearing horror stories. Am I going to start having trouble with the weekly bosses (dragon and wolf)?

So this dragon and this wolf are supposed to be the main source of prototypes, I've killed both of them at AR 25, 30, 35, and 40 and haven't seen a single one. 4 of my levelled characters use the crafted weapons. I spent all my resin and one recharge yesterday on the Noblesse Oblige domain and got 2 useless pieces (+DEF) in 10 runs. I need 40+ blue talent books for all my characters, at AR40 I'm still seeing about 1.5 per domain. It feels like an awfully low rate of return for both the resin and the effort. I hadn't noticed so much because the game was throwing fragile resin and chests at me like crazy but man now it's pretty much the suck. I love the exploration and I'm enjoying beating the Spiral Abyss but this is starting to feel more like a marriage than a game. I'm barely allowed to do anything before I'm done and I get almost nothing for what little I'm able to do.

I know all games do that, it just seems really severe and abrupt in this one, especially considering it happens around the time chest drops become practically nonexistent. In particular the drops from the weekly bosses seem really stingy.

I'm mentioning this because I don't think I'm very behind in terms of party strength from where a domain farmer would be. How do you mean leveling, running Blossom of Revelation? Where are you getting the mora without running blessing?

The bird will break the shield. Don't use Xiang's burst/ultimate. 2. Switch to Xiang and fire off your ultimate on the ice skirmisher, then swap to Fischl to get the bird out, then whatever your normal rotation is. The fire ultimate will break the shield then you can focus them down. 3. Break the lightning guy's shield with Xinqqui. Kill him dead. Lightning skirmisher is your big hitter but he only has a couple attack patterns and they are well telegraphed. If he is interfering too much with steps 1 and 2, he's much more aggressive and faster than the rest so you can generally pull him away. The other thing to not get caught with is the ice flamethrower - dodge behind the ice guy to avoid this or freeze him with Kaeya if you're able to at 40...

So I got Klee's c1 only like 30 pulls from first Klee along with Noelle's c5. I'm sure it's not worth it to increase our trade deficit with China enough to get another Klee but I hear Noelle's C6 is insane. Is it worth it to throw more pulls at this banner hoping for that?

The best part about the BP and event being on pause is they're taken off the PS4 shortcut wheel so now there's a smaller chance of me opening the wrong thing eleven times in a row trying to get to the map.
