I always found it funny how left wing and right wing internet people used the terms 'nice guy' and 'simp', respectively, to refer to the same thing. They both criticize men who act really fawning towards women they're trying to get with, but 'nice guy' seems to criticise them more for the assuming that it makes them entitled to the woman's affection, while 'simp' seems to criticize them for failing to recognize that women are fundamentally cold, machiavellian creatures who respect only unbridled power
