You would've thought D'antoni would've been the head coach and Nash be the assistant coach. This feels weirdly backwards.

D'Antoni isn't even getting paid to not take the big chair job so I'm more than a little baffled. But if the Nets have a good* season I could see Mike developing into an Offensive Coordinator role.

I'd guess D'Antoni wants to set Nash up for success and maybe have a bit easier job (especially when you have like no off-season) while living in NYC. I wonder if he'll dip out of roadtrips.

He might be interested in a different job or something too. D'Antoni Timberwolves would be amazing.

the 07 finals mvp was an aberration caused by larry brown’s backcourt being a washed up larry hughes and a washed up 2: far beyond washed eric snow and tony parker just destroying them by driving to the paint and throwing teardrops over big z’s head for four games (he shot 57% from the field and put up 26 a game, but tim duncan led the spurs in every other major statistical category and finished 2nd on the team in scoring, so, y’know)

Every few months there's a cycle of discussion about the greatest assemblage of players (all-time) e.g. Wilt, Kareem, Jordan, K. Malone and LBJ all on the floor in their prime etc.

But I don't recall much talk of a GOAT coach list e.g. Phil Jackson for height, Pat Riley for passion, Jason Kidd to spill drinks and distract, JVG to grab onto players, Bobby Knight to throw chairs at referees, P.J. Carlesimo for player anger management etc.
