I recently discovered Grimbeard, a self-aware "goth gamer" that does super chill Game Dungeon-style short reviews of mostly horror and adventure games. He also makes industrial music if that's your sort of thing. Also, Cybershell has recently returned after a long hiatus, doing ridiculously deep dives on Sonic the Hedgehog games and fandom. I don't even like Sonic and I listened to this guy talk about Chao Gardens for over an hour.

Heh, you have all fallen for my trap and recommended other good remasters. Too easy. Dance, puppets, dance.

Never had a single problem with the jocks or other popular kids - in fact, there was huge crossover between them and my group of nerd/skater/goth kids and we all played Halo, MVC2, D&D, and Magic together on weekends. Anecdotes aren't evidence, of course, but that's my experience from a similar place.
