The Basics series has basically become "recipes not from some piece of media I want to do" and hasn't been basic cooking advice for a while. Plus Babish in general has fallen into the Food TV trap of "everything has to be made meticulously from scratch or it's not Real Cooking".

The lore, and books, were full of cool mutants, demons, and weird monster men and you're like "Wow cool I can't wait to be a psyker!" and then three sessions in you kill your whole team by accident and the DM's just like "Yeah I guess you're a crazy monster now, everyone gets to roll up new sheets." Deathwatch was pretty good at making you feel like the Space Marines in the illustrations, including having in-built protections for Psykers so there far less chance for your head to be suddenly replaced with a Daemon Prince. Avengers 1 was setting up "I wanna gently caress Death" Thanos too, so it was veto'd by management probably sometime around GotG if I had to guess. They also never bothered to set up Death as specific personification of a concept either. So it would still be confusing if Thanos was horny for the idea of the cessation of life.

Part 5's adaptation did do a lot to raise my opinion of it (it was my least liked part after Part 1), but it couldn't really fix it's biggest flaw in that the narrative basically falls apart by Chariot Requiem.

I always play on Normal because I have no idea what the baseline difficulty of a game is or what Easy or Hard modes actually mean. Hard modes vary wildly between "actually the real Normal to super bullshit" and Easy modes can vary from "mindlessly boring to fun and what Normal mode should be". At least by picking Normal I can assume this was the intended difficulty. Also, dynamic difficulty should be in more games. I don't want to restart my game if I find out any of the above.
