there's a somewhat small streamer by the name of Altrive who has recently gotten a big boost from streaming Among Us with Alpharad, Rubber Ross, Jaiden Animations, etc under the name Pikmin 4. He is true chaos, nobody can predict what he will do in Among Us or otherwise, and it is a joy to watch. I love it so much, especially when it's with people who aren't familiar with him. He does occasionally go a bit overboard and has made some of his cohorts Mad For Real from his antics, though. But it's all good. He had like 5k subs before the among us stuff and now a few months later he's over 100k, which is cool. Day9 has been working on his own magic deck, starting out as a mono-red deck he called Big Red: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdzp5aov-gM&hd=1 eventually, realizing that mono-red is fairly vulnerable when not an embercleave aggro shitshow, he turned it into a black/red rakdos hybrid and fares pretty well, much better than before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj81XBryJ24&hd=1 the full playlist is here, he gets to a good place and then the final match ends in the most perfectly mortifying way imaginable. It's a long road of videos but Day9 is just so goddamn upbeat and fun and funny that it just flies by before you know it. He's also pretty good at explaining why he's doing things as he does them, for the most part.

geoff talks about sakuga, those parts of an anime episode that they really pour all the animation budget into, whether it's a fight scene, pivotal dramatic moment, or just a really nice shot of some people cooking or dancing. I'm not really sure why he chose that thumbnail for the video though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSkrywom0J8&hd=1 I appreciate that he marks each sakuga clip he uses with the animator who made it. my favorite sakuga animator is yoh yoshinori, his stuff is incredible. he's been in the industry since the founding of gainax iirc, and his stuff is all over the place, from evangelion to pokemon and especially Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. geoff could have done an hour long video just focusing on yoh's stuff and barely scratched the surface. his animation style is so kinetic, moreso than most animators, you can really just FEEL every impact and weight to it all. I hadn't actually watched it until now, but Jaiden's Platinum Nuzlocke video is just fantastic, as good if not better than her Ruby Nuzlocke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejys3sT2LHw&hd=1 her animation chops have just gotten better and better over time, it really adds to the expressiveness of the characters. the bit with Turtwig etc being super happy about killing the things she's trying to catch like an idiot puppy is hilarious. to celebrate the end of 2020, Team Poor Life Choices(Klaige, Murphagator, PJ DiCesare, and MechaRichter) revisit Duck Game. It's always an incredible time. It's also incredible that they've apparently continued to update Duck Game, adding a shitload of new weapons and options, including a sleeping bag cannon(that encases you in one of those full-body-except-face sleeping bags if it hits you) and an anime sword that you can do all sorts of ridiculous posing with, or throw it like a missile.
