I'd conceived of it as trying to make a serious statement with it— I roughly conceived of a cover design, even— but I suppose you're right. Given the content of our efforts, the dissonance would likely be far too great to meaningfully say anything without it seeming like we're using it for comedy. Also, you mentioning coronavirus gave me a track idea! I've only got the title and chorus, so someone feel free to go nuts with this. I think a good idea for a parody would be Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, but the whole song would be based around the line in the chorus: "And Iiiiiiiiiiii want a pair of socks". If this doesn't happen by the time I get the rest of my/our submissions in, then I might do it myself. I'm willing to accept lyrics posted in here. Edit: just fyi, I haven't been as involved in this thread yet, strictly due to the fact that I'm finishing off the score for a game (goon made!) that comes out this Friday. So, after Nov 20th, I'll be doing my best to go, in earnest, hog loving wild.
