if there's one thing i would suggest it would be to teach it to form allegiances along with the tactics and discipline. i stewarded a young duckling once and feel that teaching it to get along well with dogs was one of the most important contributions i was able to make to its development

i wish i could sit in the garden and watch the duck forever. i would look at it and smile and turn jeremy from his violent ways with the simple force of the deep, abiding love that i feel for the duck
