You need to layer your anti-ads and anti-trackers on youtube. I've been able to avoid that stuff thankfully. Ghostery+No Script+ublock+canvas blocker+disconnect+privacy badger+grease monkey with some scripts on mozilla seems to have solved the ads garbage. The treasurer is usually the weakest link, sadly. Not that other positions don't have their own brands of corruption but the former has it the easiest. On a grand scale I'm wary of anyone that wants to be on top of the hierarchy, on a local level I'm wary of anyone that is excited about handling the cash box.
