Especially if it's stuff like "podcast #38 in which Vance says problematic things about women and/or immigrants".

IIRC the crime was falsifying business records (to obfuscate the source of the money), and what made it into a felony was that it was being done in furtherance of another crime (election interference/undeclared campaign contribution).

But this latest hush money thing is for a completely different case so I don't think that would factor in to any judgment on the felony case, especially at this point after the trial already found him guilty.

This kind of seems like critiquing Fox for not disclosing that the panel was breathing oxygen or that it occurred on a day ending in "y". Did Fox ever imply anything to the contrary? Was anyone not expecting it to be a carefully curated hugbox for Trump?

Hah, my phone won't even let me. It'll silently screen suspicious calls, and if they don't leave a voicemail I'll never know unless I check my spam calls log. And that's not even something I had to set up, it's enabled by default.

The military will be a lot cheaper when he fires all the woke snowflakes so it's only patriots who work for free without requiring food or buildings with functional roofs.

You'd hope so, but when it's not Trump himself saying that poo poo it just seems to bounce right off. If anyone actually presses him about it he can just say "I haven't heard those comments, no idea what you're talking about" and there's no follow up or push back.

They will rapidly forget and pull that "that was then and this is now" routine like JD, but until then, the normies don't want this as their own closing message in their own races!

How the gently caress does an official campaign rally for the GOP presidential candidate, a week before the election, not represent the values of the GOP? That's literally as official and as representative as you can possibly get.

I am starting to think the Puerto Rico joke is really doing far more damage to his campaign than anyone expected even 24 hours ago. He's giving a press conference tomorrow morning that is apparently going to address it, which I'm guess we're just gonna get Trump doing his jerk off dance to reggaeton.

Vance's take on it at a rally today was that people just need to be less offended by things, so I'm not holding my breath for a competent response.

The thing that I wonder about, and the reason I think trying to read anything into early voting stats is dumb, is the defection rate. The only thing early vote stats tell us is how many registered republicans/democrats/indies have voted. But it sure seems like a lot more registered republicans are dissatisfied with Trump than there are democrats who are dissatisfied with Harris, not to mention the possibility that independents could swing very heavily in one direction more than the other. Even if republicans are "voting more", if a large majority of independents, and even a small portion of republicans, go for Harris that would have some pretty massive implications once they actually start counting the votes.
