How many confirmed ways of Freezing a Dude have we gotten? Excluding the Supers because they'll presumably also kill you. I'm assuming abilities will work the same way in Crucible as they do in PvE so it's going to be odd.

Yeah my initial thought before we got promotional material was that a PvE freeze would be a PvP Slow, but we know you can straight up ice a sucka. Getting frozen for even 1 single second is a Death so Freezing needs to be balanced the way any other one hit kill weapon or ability is.

Reddit is actually quite bad. The system of DownDoots and UpBacons leads to terrible content and even worse layouts They are a big source of processing power for getting through ARGs and puzzles and poo poo tho

Also Beyond Light is really, really Destiny 3 at its core. It's a level playing field and the best time in the game's history to jump on board. Tons of the new content/Bungie Effort that went into this expansion is dedicated to brand new or long absent players.

I loved when May 2015's Destiny 2 gave us the Reef and September 2016 brought Destiny 3's Iron Temple Whatcha guys doing with Calus tokens? They're not on the list of stuff to be removed but it certainly seems like they should be. Save ~125 of each Planetary Material since vaulted planets will still be used for upgrade modules, prisms and golfballs next season and you might really need one on the day that they're going for Phaseglass and Sim Seeds or something.

The game has a small patch Monday at 4 pm pacific and then goes offline at 7pm pacific, so many suspect there's a little event to experience at the tower in that window

It's... sort of insincere to say that you can convert Planetary Materials to Piss Crystals or Golfballs at Banshee. Yes, you technically hand over 100 Phaseglasses or whatever, but the Enhancement Core -> Prism -> Golfball cost is prohibitive and even a veteran player will find their pile of Enhancement Cores gone in no time. Best use of planetary materials is feed 'em to the planet vendor, and break down all those Year 1 Weapons and Crappy Armors for Gunsmith Parts, Enhancement Cores, and Legendary Shards.

(I do believe they're going to make golfballs/piss crystals more available next season, using Spider. Also, Spider is available even if you don't own Forsaken, unless I'm terribly mistaken)

It culminates in the Traveler's Chosen exotic sidearm, which is good, but it is also great as both an introduction to the game & a farewell to the content being removed.

Preparation takes about 1 hour, and Evacuation is about 2 hours. Slowly, and playing solo. If you're going to spend 3 hours goofin' off between now and Monday at 7pm Pacific, this is a great way to spend 'em

Thank goodness, Beloved is finally gone [busts out Beloved but with a washcloth on it] Oh neat a new gun Adored can run Snapshot with Killing Wind for pvp which is pretty solid. It is assumed that it uses the same scope as Beloved because a sniper is only as good as the zoom is low

Good god the exotic sword is over powered The titan icefall mantle is a HUUUGE piece of poo poo though, wow Hawkmoon is apparently a quest exotic because it's not in the weapons tab yet Troublingly, none of the Year 1-3 exotic weapons seems to have received a catalyst  Although it's very possible that this particular portion of the game just hadn't gone live yet

Raid weapons were still hidden but it's interesting that there's literally only one weapon that does Stasis damage. I guess they're not giving it the full "Fourth Element" treatment but rather having it be a bit of a... fringe damage type.

Ostensibly because pc and console have different recoil systems and so some recommendations for perks and stats might be different, but... neither thread is ever used for "which of these guns is more good!!" so really it's because some users can't stop antagonizing each other Now that console users are playing on Series Xs and PS5's the menu times are at parity with PC, too. We can finally do that "Switch exotic mid-super" fuckery!!

Yeah pretty much every prediction and/or fear I had is 100% true. Stasis is Solar, mechanically, no Crucible maps, no new Y1-3 exotic catalysts, etc Wish I'd been wrong about more but the new planet sure is pretty. Hope the raid is fun!

I'm withholding judgment on the expansion until the season goes live because I refuse to believe this is it. I will howl with laughter if this is an annual expansion Surely the world loot pool and weapon refreshes and Crucible maps and exotic catalysts are coming when the Season of the Hunt content begins?
