If nothing else, it's nice to see people finally moving beyond making the same banal observations about how Tarantino movies were all wise-cracking hitmen and gratuitous violence when he hadn't made a movie like that in 15 years.Though it's wild that in the course of my lifetime I've seen the same people arguing that Tarantino is both too gratuitous and too boring at different times.

It's weird that a grown-rear end woman consenting to drive a car on a stretch of road after Tarantino himself drove the same car down that same road to make sure it was safe is somehow twisted into an infantilized woman pleading for her life as a cackling sadist of a director straps her in and drops a brick on the gas pedal.
