I know they got a lot of potatoes. Plus they have a college football team with a blue field. What else is there to know

I like that Idaho has that long, skinny, snaking branch up to border with Canada. Just kinda keeping their options open in case they need to bolt.

A beautiful state filled with some of the worst people in America. It's the south of the north, in all of the pejorative ways and none of the positive ones.

I used to live there, I went hiking a lot in the southern part of the state. Here I am on the 10th tallest mountain in the state looking at the barren and rocky Lost River Range Here I am on some unnamed peak in the Boulders looking west Here I am on Caulkens Peak in the White Clouds looking probably southeast Here's Castle loving Peak after I had summitted it Some cool views This was my door when I got home Some chick my roommate had been banging decided to try and break in around 2:30 that morning. Stay away from trashy Idaho girls

Idaho is pretty neat, my sister lives in Idaho Falls. I did some construction work in Blackfoot, Preston and Soda Springs. Smitty's Pancake & Steak House in Idaho Falls is really delicious and I shook hands with some billionaire who owns that big ugly building Melaleuca when I was at my niece's baptism. Also potato barges on the snake river.

You've got Mormon's in the south, militia types in the north, and a pretty rugged high desert in the middle. It's a pretty state but fairly socially/economically/politically benighted.baw posted:lately a lot of old white people have been moving there to retire for some reason Lots of California cops retiring there en mass to get away from black people and then voting down all funds for public services like schools and libraries, because that's socialism, while collecting their 6 figure pensions.

It has many people who will insist the state is "full" and already has too many people, despite being one of the least densely populated states in the country. The top ten largest cities include multiple towns of ~30k.

EL BROMANCE posted:American potatoes aren’t great, and I feel the blame lies solely with Idaho. I've seen some factoid that 90% of the potatoes grown in Idaho are contracted/sold to Ore Ida or McDonalds. If you order a potato at a restaurant or buy some in the grocery store in Idaho, they are most likely from another state.
