I'd like to join you guys in streaming but I have some questions and figure I should ask them here. I'd just like to occasionally stream some gameplay from a Switch, Wii U and maybe PS3. I'd be playing on my tv and not the capture window on my mac but I don't want something that would add input lag to playing on the tv. What's the cheapest thing I could get away with using? I just want to stream pure gameplay and don't care about overlays or even mic input. Do all of these 40 dollar capture cards on Amazon add lag?

I have a dirt cheap USB one with pass through and there's no noticeable lag on the TV, whereas there is on the PC. But even then it's not like seconds of lag. It's just as behind as any other OBS source. When I'm home I can take a picture and post it, I didn't get it from Amazon but I'm sure it's just a generic Chinese piece of crap. Edit: I know alpha gaming actually recommends the cheapo USB capture cards for things like using a camcorder as a webcam, so there's that
