My mum was a bit of a trekkie and every year for christmas we would get her a star trek action figure as a bit of a joke and it eventually devolved into trying to find the most esoteric or ridiculous ones possible such as borg picard or when jordi turned into that weird blue veined creature for one episode

I started a new job last week understanding there was a commute, but I took it anyway cause it's the most money I've made at any job. I've had a couple jobs where I've needed to commute 30 mins before, so I didn't really think anything of the 40 min commute at the time. But I failed to realize to difference between 30 minutes on the freeway vs 40 mins on a one lane each direction curvy, hilly country road. The latter is far more exhausting. I'm also a little worried about the wear and tear on my 15 year old car. It's only until August, but I think I mighta made a big mistake.
