Any scientist with the right background can brew his own booze.

What do you mean electrolytes aren't used for brewing booze? That's silly!

Well when all you have are chunks of TNE and an overly large water ration, all the world looks like a still!

Check the program - what is it actually for detecting?

Egh. Call Tingleperry. That nerd can probably explain this program and the proximity alert.

First the proximity alert and now decaf? There's only one explanation... sabotage! An inside job, at that! Who's been let into the premises... and by whom?

Call Kringlejerry for advice. He always knows what to do in tricky situations like this, for some reason.

(You secretly suspect he's part of ELLFF*, but he's never steered you wrong before. Except that one vacation in Vegas, but you both agreed never to talk about it ever again.)

Wake with an odd premonition of where you should go to investigate the potential intruder, and a desire to feed a bird some crumbs.

But before you go, put on some real coffee.

Answer the phone, presuming it's someone about to inquire about the explosions going off, and immediately begin blaming the antiquated gear for automatically firing after a targeting error. Go on to mention the defense systems were getting past their best-by date anyway - for Kringle's sake, it was Arctic War-era stuff! - so perhaps finally the Big Man will realize he has to upgrade to the newest line of JOLLYN8Rs.

A sled, sleigh, sledge or what have you

This is tricky. You don't want the sleigh to be any more damaged than it is (oh sweet sugary candy canes, you'll have to fix all those drill holes now). If a firefight started here...

Oh hey. They're not wearing any gas masks.

Go fetch a mask of your own, then fetch that jar of the Sandman's dust you swept up from October's Halloween festivities (the Big Man was hosting and boy was that a mess to clean up) and go dump it into the complex's air conditoning.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
