I will not be lazy and I will get a list together. It will be primarily board games.

10 - Cartographers Just a very chill zen like game that can be played solo or with other players. You get shapes of various types and try to combo them together for points. I've gifted this out twice to my friends this year as I wanted to ensure everybody had a copy in their collection. 9 - Whitehall Mystery Probably the game my group played most via Tabletop Simulator this year. Just an incredible game of cat and mouse between the Detectives and Jack the Ripper. Here's a game between myself and the Games forum mods https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vclauifoHYY 8 - Horizon: Zero Dawn + Frozen Wilds Gorgeous from start to finish. I cannot wait for Forbidden West. gently caress Ted Faro 7 - Hades There is no escape. This game scratches my Binding of Isaac itch hard. Managed to beat it for the first time earlier this morning, and I'm looking forward to putting in many many hours in 2021. 6 - World of Warcraft: Shadowlands I'm back on my bullshit. 5 - Spider-man: Miles Morales Absolutely loving stunning on the PS5. Essentially a refinement of the first Spider-man game on the PS4. Doesn't overstay its welcome, but I wish it did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNkPOLpQjlw 4 - Yakuza: Like A Dragon Here's everything you need to know about this game https://i.imgur.com/Qdzx1yq.mp4 3 - Fury of Dracula 2 toxx probes and going strong babyyyyyyyy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xQXyy_njCQ Maybe 2021 will be Dracula's year 2 - Tabletop Simulator 2020 was a poo poo show. It was made a lot more bearable by Tabletop Simulator and the fact you could play whatever board game you like by downloading its module off of the Steam Workshop. Many many many hours played this year with mates due to quarantine, and it helped demo a ton of new games I would never had the opportunity to play. If I didn't pickup Odin, this would be my #1 easilyt. 1 - A Feast for Odin + The Norwegians I love board games, but I fell into them this year due to the Pandemic, and a lot of my time earlier in the year was spent playing sessions online with mates via Tabletop Simulator. After spending some time around this forum, boardgamegeek, and various youtube videos, one name kept popping up over and over again - A Feast for Odin. When Australia was starting to look like it was in a good spot and I could host people at my house again I took a big risk and splurged for A Feast for Odin & The Norwegians Expansion. I'm glad I did. It had become a fast favourite of my various gaming groups, and is just an absolute delight to play. In essence it's a worker placement + engine building game, and it's just been an absolute pleasure to play whenever I get it to the table. I've played dozens and dozens of board games this year, and Odin is far and away the stand out for me. Having my mates over and playing it for hours while we drink and eat has been a true highlight of the year for me

Elentor posted:I'm glad one soul in this thread admitted it, I almost turned my joke list into a joke-but-qualified list by adding wow and lol on behalf of all of those whose shame is too great to confess. 2020 was a poo poo loving year, and WoW is one of my guilty pleasures. I'm actually really enjoying my time with it thus far, compared to all the stupid endgame bullshit that was BfA. Plus 'Literally Castlevania The Zone' rules.
