It's poo poo like this that makes me wonder what the hell Peacock is going to do when they start hosting the Network. They've already gone and removed entire episodes of television shows like anytime 30 Rock used blackface, how could they possibly justify keeping the DX/Nation skit?

I'm surprised Peacock doesn't just go the Warner/Disney route with putting a disclaimer up front about how these were depicting different times and are not their current views. It seems like that goes a long way with most people; that way the product gets blamed, not the network for showing it.

I think it’s because that would be disingenuous as the WWF/E was actually trying to be offensive with something like the DX/Nation skit. There’s a difference between 1935 and 1998 when it comes to “We didn’t know any better” regarding a ring full of white guys in blackface.

The Chyna thing is absolute bullshit because they were begging women to accidentally go topless for years during the Attitude era and a bit afterwards. Jacqueline and Miss Kitty(?) did it, so did Mae Young, but plenty of others were asked. And they promoted several Playboy issues that featured the women to the point that there were several feuds.

Also, HHH using his kids specifically as the reason, after the amount of far worse poo poo that HHH and WWE exposed everyone's loving kids to is kind of galling. As if only his kids matter. I don't usually get all "but the kids" about adult content geared towards adults that parents should keep their kids away from. However, WWE's intended (but failed) primary demo is supposed to be kids right now. Just merely looking at the last few days, what does coding Alexa as a child while having her act sexual say to those kids?

It's also bullshit because X-Pac has two or three rings and he was in one of those porn films with Chyna.

Did Gorilla hate kids or something? I didn’t realize just how often he mentioned Mel Philips with feet and socks, or the Terry Garvin School of Self Defense. I thought it was a few lovely jokes, not every goddamn Saturday Night’s Main Event.

It’s just so hosed up to shoehorn that many references to actual ongoing child molestation into wrestling commentary.

Didn't they have Chief Jay Strongbow show up in the nineties to give some sort of blessing to Tatanka who was actually indigenous and a member of a tribe?

Didn't they also donate to Ireland during the famine or am I thinking of another tribe?

I'm sorry, this one is obviously offensive, but it's funny to me because he's not even trying.

I figured this is the best thread to bring this up, but I was always made uncomfortable by Christian adopting "And if you don't know, now you know" and even including the pause at the end so you could hear people in the crowd shouting the final word.

There's a moment sometime late in the 00s where some people really made an effort to stop using gay slurs so they replaced them with the R-word.
