Holy Five Rules:

1. You can find any position anywhere in the draft.
2. Any position can be taken in the top 10.
3. All positions are short shelf lives, not just RB.
4. Discounting prospects for perceived personality problems makes you no better than Mel Kiper.
5. Mock drafts are mockable.

Devonta Smith has such good numbers but the measurables have turned a bunch of people off him. I can see him going right after Ja’Marr if he has a strong combine

He’s got really good tape tho

He played and has been really good this year, just not world beating. He was also playing with a groin injury that has him sidelined currently. He's absolutely a top 10 talent on athleticism alone. Pure downhill rusher, extremely violent with his hands, never gives up on plays, and is often tasked with taking on the biggest OT a team has. He should really be higher on my list but he was just okay so far this year.

DeVonta was the third option last year but definitely Mac Jones' go to guy this year after Waddle went down. John Metchie III should also be a top pick next year.

For the OTs Alex Leatherwood is seen as the name prospect but he's not that great. I think he's moving inside or to the right in the NFL because he's slow. He's not even the best player on that o-line and not even the biggest either. Rashawn Slater will be a top 25 pick this year and is an absolute clamper. He opted out this year but his junior year tape was superb. He's going to be one of the best run blockers in the NFL some day and has a lot of promise to ascend as a pass blocker too. To put it another way he blanked Chase Young on pretty much every snap. Besides that Vera-Tucker and Teven Jenkins will both be high picks too with guys like Christian Darrisaw right behind them.

I think it's worth noting in re: to Micah Parsons he has a weird sexual harassment thing he was involved in:

https://abcnews.go.com/Sports/penn-state-football-player-coach-james-franklin-told/story?id=74314780

Parsons and a couple others basically sexually harassed Isaiah Humphries until he got into a fight with Parsons and pulled a knife. I'm sure someone will still draft him in the first, but top 10 seems like kind of a big risk for that kind of a weird rear end in a top hat.

Atlanta needs a QB as Matt Ryan got the old to go along with his noodle arm.

I realize Atlanta won't draft a QB in the first round - probably another receiver or a safety who looks lost - and if they did, they're not high enough to get Lawrence or Fields. What exists beyond those two?

Agreed, Browns particularly need LB and CB at least. Go heavy on the D if this year is good for that. Though maybe a WR if a BPA falls in the lap.

Kyle Pitts is the most dominant skill guy I've ever seen come out of Florida.

If he was available when Miami's first (Texans) pick comes around, I would jump all over him ahead of any WR's in the draft. He's "centerpiece of your offense for the next 8 years" good.

I think you can make the argument that Chase is the better need pick because he's the quintessential downfield threat and we don't have anyone on the roster who can do that right now (sorry Jakeem lol).

There is a possibility we could get Pitts with the Texans pick and address outside WR with Waddle later in the first round.

I'm just salivating at the thought of 2 TE sets with Pitts and Gesicki and what Tua could do with them in the middle of the field and in the red zone.

Okay you sold me tbh. It came off as a wild idea to me but your explanation makes sense and I think I’m becoming too obsessed with Parsons as a ILB in this scheme (and the idea we can get Smith at 1B

It was the mental picture of Waddle, Parker, Gesicki and Pitts.

I was tempted to rank him ahead of Sewell that's how good he is. Guy can literally line up anywhere, has hands of glue, and finally answers the question of what would it be like if Lebron played football. Absolute high point catcher, can pretty much go over any DB you throw at him. Think Gronk mixed with Shockey.
