I have another county for you to check out. Have you done ##Ingham County, MI, home of the state capital Lansing? Specifically, you should check out Mr. Taco, which is mostly known for only giving out it's opening hours in a private facebook group. The twitter account @TacoWatcher would be helpful for that.

Apologies again in advance that I am not a New Yorker and may get stuff wrong quote:Howard Beach is a neighborhood in the southwestern portion of the New York City borough of Queens. It is bordered to the north by the Belt Parkway and Conduit Avenue in Ozone Park, to the south by Jamaica Bay in Broad Channel, to the east by 102nd–104th Streets in South Ozone Park, and to the west by 75th Street in East New York, Brooklyn. The area consists mostly of low-rise single-family houses. Just doing some street views of the southern outskirt areas: Never seen this before: One house totally selectively blurred out on street view. I think you can request this on Google for your house but lol at the one pic with the guy in the suit unblurred.

Lenny's Clam Bar is the bees' knees. House blurred may be high ranking Mafia person's house. This is the land of John Gotti (He lived there) as well as many other well know mob people. It's a pretty rich area with a lot of McMansions. It's not a bad place, and houses can go for more than a million easily. There are a lot of decent places to eat on the Cross Bay Blvd strip. Steamed Pastrami can be had at Sapienza's, Frenasia for Hibachi Japanese food/sushi. Danny's Szechuan Garden for really God drat good Chinese food (Which I believe Frank Sinatra had visited a few times). Also, that's not Hudson River, it's Jamaica Bay. So far I'm seeing that this is a pretty nice area. I mean, compared to the usual redneck areas - I think any real hole in the wall places got out-competed out of here decades ago. I doubt we'll see too many real food crimes here just for fun I'm gonna click through all the random businesses on the main road (Cross Bay Blvd) from dentists to dunkin to the yacht club. here's 163rd and south minus the big restaurants i want to look at closer.

They also do loads of tasty looking salads but even as someone that loves salads they just rarely reach the visual highs of a big rear end sandwich imo "Buffalo chicken salad"

"Waffle fries pastrami bacon onions melted swiss & thousand island dressing" This one made me feel sick. Something about putting salad dressing on top of melted cheese. Plus the dressing to bread ratio.

I thought I was near the end when I posted but I decided to scroll Lenny's a bit more and it's such a destination/special occasion place that the usual spattering of photos that sometimes gets filtered to the bottom ended up being like, 500 group photos. So for a real thread change of pace please enjoy even more New York ppl dressed up for a delicious dinner lol

James Gandolfini used to go there when they were making the Sopranos at Silvercup Studios here in Queens. He has his picture on the giant "wall of fame" sitting there eating Linguini with Calamari. It's a nice sit-down place to eat, not too expensive, and a great place to take a date (which I did with my now wife to "impress" her, I guess it worked). I also have one of those coffee mugs If you want to see opulent extravagance, look up pics for "Russo's on the bay". It's about a quarter mile up from Lenny's. That's a high-end event place for weddings and stuff. Mistayke fucked around with this message at 17:56 on Jan 25, 2022 |

Just in case you needed a nice hit of gravy, don't worry, they've got these places the depths of the Big City too This guy tagged like every random photo of him and his wife over the last 30 years here for some reason. I'll just share a few, enjoy and what do you think these guys's story is is this even the same restaurant? whatever it's tagged here Part 1/2 (part 2 is food!!)
