It's not an omelette, but still.

There was a place called Dean's Cafe that a friend and I would go a couple times a year back in the 90's. For about eight bucks we'd each get bacon swiss tomato bell pepper and avocado omelette about the size of a car muffler. With a side of hash browns. We never finished it, just too much food. Except the last time we went there. My friend was moving to another state, and we sat there for over an hour, finishing our omelettes for the first and last time.

It's all a lie pushed by both parties. The vast majority of america (74%+) hate the current healthcare system and almost all of those want medicare4all or something else.
I suspect there's also a stupid malevolence that the polls don't account for. I think a lot that 74% would be against a better healthcare system if it benefited someone that they feel doesn't deserve it. Even if it it meant they couldn't have it either.

Wrongo. The poll being referenced specifically states that two thirds of Americans support a public option. (Though only about 56% support complete nationalization)

Glad to be wrong. Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of those folk were like, "but you have to not be on welfare, or an immigrant, or you have to work a 40 hour job, heh." But yes, all I have is a suspicion, no evidence of this.

I feel like Postum is kinda Americana, like a thing an old guy behind the counter of a store that sells wooden arts and crafts in a tourist trap would drink.

It's also favored by Mormons, a very American religion. Though I'm not sure that Mormons are Americana.jpg. Hard to say.

Not liking olives and having to say something about it strikes me as very American.

this is almost too self-aware kitsch to be americana, but I like it. A lady with an accordion kinda gets by my defenses.

It's really weird but I feel like this is something my family would have played for me as I lay dying in some hospice somewhere. The soft music, the gentle tones of the narrator's voice. This was your life, in brands...

Which reminds me of great movie Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Perhaps it would be a stretch to declare these movies as showcases of Americana, but they certainly are wacky American highway road trip movie things.

I have to admit, I laughed when I posted it. And I’m a fan of both Najimy and Lovitz. I was a teenager when this came out though and I can’t see it as anything other than lame.

The camcorder thing might be a feature of the blu Ray. More frames is better frames!

americana food 1: if food's good, then it's good. if it's different from where it came from, that's ok, I'm still gonna eat it, and probably call it by its original name

americana food 2: items suspended in congealed tomato soup and served in a very large bread bowl, the chief food culture export of a very large city

americana food 3: let's give this deep fried trash wrapped in bacon a special name, locals become extremely proud of it
