I think fondly of A-treat, being from the region, but the only good thing about it was its low price. its poorly flavored carbonated sugar water and I should hate it but nostalgia is a powerful thing

I never even drank that much of it but seeing the A-TREAT signs in aging PA towns is just such a nostalgic thing

browsing bars near me. this one has a sub 3-star rating, which for google ratings is abysmal.

this is despite chuds leaving a lot of 5 star reviews since this sign went up

also it looks like poo poo and everyone actually reviewing the place says its filthy

Yeah I'm not exactly sure what authority HOAs have but they seem to be able to fine and harass people with impunity. I'm not entirely sure how its legal/constitutional tbh, they're not a government and you cant opt in/out of them you're loving stuck if your house happens to be in their zone. If they were voluntary I'd be much less irritated with them.

Yes, we have rules about what can be seen from our windows, stuff like pride flags and non-holiday decorations are not allowed to be visible from the street, we have rules about what dates decorations are allowed to be up inside/outside, and i think there are curtain color rules(white/beige of course). Also the whole area has a limit on pets (one cat, one dog ONLY), despite these mostly being houses that are owned by the people living in them.

it is your civic duty to fill every street facing window with pride flags
