I actually went to a cat show out of morbid curiosity before covid hit and it was a great time. 95% of the people there are completely self aware which makes the absurdity of it all comedic instead of concerning. All nice folks, even the judges. Kind of insulated from all the cynicism and malice of internet types like us.

Please tell me the self aware crazy cat people make fun of the cat shows are serious business crazy cat people?

Pretty irresponsible to keep it in such a small cage. Also that's well below minimum fence height for a lizard of that size so it's definitely going to escape and eat some small fat child eating a half melted ice cream while it's larger fatter mother uselessly shrieks in the background.

Legend has it the big prawn that straddles some roadhouse in South Australia was supposed to be a ~20 ft thing to put on the roof, but there was some confusion around ft vs meters and they ended up with a statue bigger than the building.

Like all these litte names on the map, there's maybe 4 houses in each and no stores

American: How to gently caress can anyone live 20 miles from the nearest store? How could you possibly attain the necessary supplies to sustain a life?

Also American: Welp, time for my daily 2 hour commute to the office.
