240x160 is the resolution of the game so no surprise that's what the emulator gives you. It's expected you need to scale them up, the "blur" (it's not technically a blur) comes because you're doing so using some sort of filter.

If you want keep the pixels you need to avoid interpolating filters that try to guess at the colors between pixels when you scale up: the filters that do that are called things like bilinear, bicubic, Hermite, Mitchell, Lanczos, etc depending on the exact one. The "pixel-preserving" option will typically be called nearest neighbor or point. In Irfanview specifically this is a separate option called "resize" instead of "resample".
