if you build out an office building at two jacks per outlet, two outlets per office — generous, but probably more efficient than risking having to go back to add a bunch of new drops or put hubs in like every other office because there was more office-sharing than you anticipated — then each of those bundles is like one side of a hall, and this closet covers like one part of a floor, and this is quite probably the only closet available i might be somewhat over-used to companies with extreme space crunch, though

Truman Peyote posted:a friend is an industrial electrician and he loves putting poo poo like that together. much less chance of having to redo it in that field, though. the audio engineers at the radio station i worked at viewed “install a new mixer” day as an opportunity to go nuts like that. when you have recording equipment for live broadcasts and stuff it actually helps to be very clear about signal vs. power cables and never the two shall meet. also the cable techs at the semiconductor fab were pretty anal. a fully automated factory the size of 8-9 football fields requires a *lot* of cable runs and cable chases.
