I was already in love with Denali prior to the cast announcement, and I came out of this episode a total stan. Not only was her verse the best, but I loved her performance in the lip sync...absolutely captivating.

Yeah, I've heard Kahmora is an incredible host (witty and quick on the mic, etc.) and that she is very clever and funny. Since contestants apparently know the runway categories but not in what order they will occur, it wouldn't surprise me if she just had a bad roll of the dice and ended up with her like, one non-lipsyncable outfit she brought during the week of her being in the bottom. Anyways, last night's episode turned me from a Denali stan into a Denali Stan. I need this drat pandemic to go away so I can see her perform here in the Bay Area one day!

I also wonder if it's a generational difference. I feel like folks Tamisha's age will only say "I'm about to hit somebody" if they MEAN it and actually want to fight, while younger folks like Kandy are more used to using "I'm about to hit somebody" as an exclamation of just how frustrated they are at that moment. I dunno, I'm just rambling now! I just want Rupaul's Best Friends Race back.

As a US goon, I have literally no idea who any of the Snatch Game choices other than Mel B/Scary Spice are. D: Has this ever happened to any of y'all non-Americans while watching the US version of the show? This is more of an age thing, but Season 12's Snatch Game was pretty funny to watch with my in-laws, as they had no idea who Poppy or Maria the Robot are, and we had no idea who Bernadette Peters is.

Speaking of potential spoilers for upcoming seasons...one of the alleged Drag Race Down Under contestants (black bars for both spoiling a potential contestant and for racism) has a big-rear end tattoo of a gollywog on one of their limbs.... Regarding Ellie, I think people are angry that someone who is visually quite polished but has less of a personality (or at least SEEMS to have less) stayed over someone who could look a bit crunchy but has an incredibly charming personality like Tia, or hell, has both like A'whora. Particularly when you remember that UK S1 did the opposite (saving personality over looks) with Baga and currently, S13 is sort of attempting to do so with Kandy. Frankly, I thought Ellie should have been in the bottom. Her standup set was one of the most painfully unfunny things I've seen on this show in a long time, which isn't fully her fault considering the judge's cackling and encouragement. Ellie's diamond runway look, while VERY nice, didn't wow me like the other looks did and just struck me as a slightly more elevated entrance look. Also, it's not like the other standup bits were particularly G-rated either... I am confusion!

Similarly (and thankfully this hasn't come up in the US seasons in quite some time), some queens get scolded for not padding and others get to coast by week-after-week with "boy body" (yes, I hate this term too).

Denali's runway this week was just.... [chef's kiss] I can't stop looking at it. Also, speaking of food, what the hell was Utica's puff sleeve supposed to be a print of? At a distance it read as pizza print to me, but up close it was swirls? For the life of me, I can't figure out what it is. The ants were a cute touch, though.

Yeah, while I definitely thought Lawrence was throwing a tantrum (you already won three challenges, calm down), I also strongly agree with the frustration of her going "Don't do things clearly intended to screw us over and then go 'OMG BUT I FEEL SO BAD' when you have no intention of changing the performance order." Screw your opponents over and go "All's fair in love and war, baby, go take it up with Rupaul." Pull a Naomi! Eliminate your biggest competition, then shrug and go "Life isn't fair." The problem is, though, this fanbase claims to love "face crack" moments like these, but then will turn around and send hate to the queen providing such moments. Naomi thankfully has the confidence and high self-esteem to just laugh off the hate being sent online over a drat reality TV show, but not everyone does. The whole Lawrence things doesn't even make sense to me. They're sending hate to Lawrence for being mean to Ellie, but are also sending Ellie hate for...making it further than Tia and A'whora? So who are they actually mad at here?

Also, I think Season 11 is the one season where ""fan-favorite attractive white queen" (in this case, Brooke Lynn) SHOULD have won. I liked Yvie's drag, and Brooke had at least one win (monster ball) that was...questionable. Still, if it were up to me, Akeria or Brooke would have taken the crown that season.

Gottmik's video was...not very funny, but I did like her physical comedy. Her splashing water in her face or tumbling over while sitting at the table got some chuckles out of me. Meanwhile, Olivia's ad left me with a reaction of "Well...she....looks very pretty, at least!" which is how I'm feeling about her, more and more. "Feel like pure poo poo, just want Denali back" >:|

I thought Utica's Rupaul joke ("Rupaul, you're such a fashion icon...could you stand up for us, please?") was :O in the best way, though. For those that don't know a little behind-the-scenes, when at the judge's table, Rupaul is allegedly generally only glammed from the waist up and changes into sweatpants, etc for the judging sections.
