I tried naming my cars and it was always awkward. Cars earn names from friends, which is why I have had trucks named "dirty POS", "toilet Jeep", and, well, the Honcho got its name at the factory.

I used to drive 68 miles each way through Boston area traffic for work. I miss that job but not the commute. It got even worse once I met my wife, because she worked in Worcester so we would carpool and the total distance went up to 85 miles each way. There were days when I left for work at 7am and got there at 10, and left work at 7 and got home at 9.

Anything up to about 40 minutes each way I'm ok with, though I'd prefer less. My last commute was basically the nice easy 40 minutes of my previous nightmare commute, like 3 days a week I would literally see the brake lights ahead for the traffic jam I would have previously spent 1-2 hours sitting in just as I was moving right to take the exit for my new job. That was very satisfying.

The issue is that while the first shot often does give immunity, the second is needed to remind the system that it needs to actually remember this one for a long time. At least from what I read. So essentially the first shot won't protect you for very long. E: you snuck that in while I was writing this, lol That's a good point. I won't be using any in areas where they could be exposed to fire easily unless it's in the walls and ceilings anyways.

Also worth noting that the Pew numbers I edited in are particularly damning, even assuming it's all out of touch boomers who mainline Fox all day, it's only 23% positive at all and of that, only 8% say he's doing excellent. And a whopping 68% want him to stop being in politics at all.

I haven't drank more than a sip of hard alcohol since New Year's Eve 2012. I was a pretty hard drinker till then, but I was internet webcam drinking with the old Bachelor Thread crew and another group and overdid it really badly. Started out with Dr mcgillicuddy mint which is 40 proof and hard to really get in trouble with, but ran out and unfortunately I had reached the point where short term memory and ability to taste alcohol were both minimal. I grabbed a bottle of ice 101 and a few sips later forgot that it was 100 proof not 40. Blacked out a little while later (I'm not too clear on exactly when, I'm guessing an hour or two) and the only memories I have after that are waking up in my chair painfully aware of the fact that I needed to vomit IMMEDIATELY, doing so doubled up over the railing in my stairwell directly into a pile of moldy plaster demolition debris, then another 45 seconds of clarity at another uncertain point in the timeline, doubled up over the fence puking into the neighbors yard. I have no idea how I got outside or back in for that matter. Then I woke up at like noon and hid under the covers with my eyes closed until like 9pm. Have barely drank since then. Maybe a few beers with dinner, but that's about it. I couldn't even stand the smell of alcohol for like 6 months.

I have every smart device on the planet and my mood lighting changes color! - everything I own is hardwired if possible, the S in IoT stands for Security, and there's a shotgun in the corner just in case the printer makes a funny noise. My lighting may not be fancy but it hasn't allowed anyone to steal my wifi credentials and it works even if the manufacturer gets acquired and decides to tell customers to go gently caress themselves and no one has decided to try for a monthly ransom for its continued functioning either.

^ and that's why short trading can get you in a lot of trouble - unlike normal trading where worst case you lose 100% of what you paid... With short trading, you can theoretically have infinite losses because the price could have gone to any value. If they sold short at $5 and it goes to $300 by the time they have to close out their deals, they lose $295 on their $5 deal.
