This is good to hear, I’ve been wanting to watch The Knick for awhile but sometimes poo poo like that gets too much for me.

Also I’ve been meaning to start Avenue 5 for the longest time and am just never in the mood to watch it for some reason even though I really want to. Does anyone else get this? Maybe I just have to make myself watch the first episode and then I’ll get into it

I like that (Hannibal season 3 spoiler) Abigail is the only one that dies after season 2, the rest of the characters just get messed up and deeply existential. Season 3 in general is very dark, its fully inside its own world now

Not sure if you've finished Season 3 yet from your post so if not then avoid this since it's a spoiler from the end:

I feel so bad for Chilton, which is something I never expected when i began watching the show. Somehow he ended up being my favorite character?!?

I finished The Sinner yesterday and loved it, the third season especially was so loving tense that i spent the whole thing like :stonk: AUUGHHH especially the part when jamie loving buried harry alive and yanked the oxygen tube  . anyway now i'm feeling weirdly bereft that i watched it all and there's none left and everything looks boring in comparison

Been wondering this for awhile- what are the most elaborate lengths shows have gone to to conceal casting info for upcoming special/surprise appearances, like when a character unexpectedly comes back from the dead or something? I’ve heard of hiding casting info by using fake names or whatever but there has to be weirder poo poo than that.

For me it felt like it suddenly got good again from season 13-15 but because each season is like 23 episodes or something you’ll get like several eh episodes and then a few good ones here and there. I’d go with the “stop watching it when you stop enjoying it” thing since there’s so much of it. When I decided to finally finish the show after stopping at season 8 I ended up just having it on in the background a lot, and then paid attention when it looked like it was getting interesting.

I think that’s one of the problems with long seasons, sometimes you get more time to do fun one-off episodes like the animated one in season 15(?) which is GREAT and one of my favorites, and then sometimes you just end up with a ton of filler and things just drag on forever!

Really loving Mare of Easttown so far, seeing Kate Winslet's character constantly vaping cracks me the hell up. also i am thankful for the recommendations on this forum, i don't think I would've given it a shot otherwise as the way it was described on hbo made it sound like something i wouldn't really like.

So did I, I was initially a little disappointed when I found out otherwise. This is really hitting all my favorite tv experience emotions of confusion, horror, and intrigue though (sometimes all at once!)

Also the cast is kind of nuts: Joshua Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Christian slater, also Kelsey grammar shows up at some point too

This is a kind of goofy bit of news, way back in 2014 Victoria Cartagena was on like half of the first season of Gotham as Renee Montoya. She ended up getting dropped from the series as they moved more towards Batman villains. Well 7 years later she's back playing Renee Montoya on season 3 of Batwoman.

Hahaha wow, it always struck me as a little weird how she just kind of faded out of Gotham. That rules.

I’m on the third season of the good fight and still enjoying it but god I hate the little musical cartoons they keep putting in the episodes, they are the worst. I usually don’t fast forward through things but as soon as I see one of those start I want to get through that poo poo as soon as possible.

I didn’t dislike her character but she’s just so flat compared to everyone else. Like everyone else is way more interesting.

I need to catch up with it now, I had to stop watching when the paramount plus app kept loving up and doing some kind of boot loop poo poo :smith: it is the least stable of all the streaming apps I have and has behaved like this on three devices now

Edit: HA! I got it to work again! now I can catch up on Evil too :unsmith:
