Only Murders in the Building is a surprisingly good show, definitely worth a watch.

I'm trying to get in to it. Selena Gomez is weighing it down for me. She has one gear, and acts like a mannequin compared to the energy of the rest of the cast.

Probably being overly harsh on Selena. The show hasn't snagged me yet, will give it a few more episodes.

Another vote for Sharp Objects.

I binged Sharp Objects over a few days. Took me a while to get into it because a lot of the characters are crappy people. Ended up liking it by the last few episodes though.

I think my favourite part was how memories/thoughts/flashbacks were edited in. Mostly quick and unobtrusive, spliced into 'present day' scenes, and from my own perspective much more naturalistic. I've only seen memories shown like that in a few other things but it should be the standard approach.

I don't usually like Amy Adams and while I wasn't blown away by anything she did pretty good. Her character on the surface is SUPER EDGY but she made her feel pretty normal and nuanced.

prob. gonna watch You next.

Just to check... You stuck around thru the final episode's credits right? Cause there is a doozy in there.

Superstore definitely had writers who served time in a Superstore.

One of my favorite reoccurring gags was the interstitials of customers doing very customer things while inappropriate music played over the loud speaker. It's something you really appreciate when you're stocking and discover a melted, leaking quart of ice cream stashed behind school supplies, while a song with a poppy beat about loving plays overhead.

Yeah, Superstore is a comfort show for me. Something that is easy to watch, or can leave on in the background while doing other stuff. It especially hits home having worked retail, and I think they did a good job of portraying working during lockdown last year
