Our infrastructure is still archaic and was basically sabotaged by the party in charge at the time. we have a fair number of good ‘unlimited’ deals. But at the same time, I’m share housing with four other people and we all work from home and making calls on Teams is hit and miss. our national broadcaster does not offer HD streaming of their programming iirc. but I’m always happily surprised when I download a game to my ps5 and it takes less than a day

Also, Jonathan Banks is there! I think this is right. I still really like 6 though. It’s one of my favourite finales.

speaking of the Lost ending, I watched it the whole way through again recently as my partner hadn’t seen it. She loved it all, cried, there’s never going to be a better show etc etc. But the worst thing was that the only available version of the finale for streaming in my area was a two parter that was cut down for syndication. What the hell is that. integral moments just cut for time. Just leads to moments like Sawyer arriving at a hospital for the sole purpose of eating a chocolate bar. Garbage decision. What’s worse is that this happened with Netflix like six years ago, so I don’t know why Stan (australian streaming service) just went and repeated the same mistake.

Station Eleven good. Was the sound mixing just crazy in the last two episodes though. I couldn’t hear anything over the music. I thought it was supposed to be thematic of Kirsten’s emotional state but it was all the time. I can’t imagine surviving a pandemic and the only form of entertainment is Shakespeare plays and folk music performed by people who look like they charge crystals when it’s a full moon.

Numberwang!!! posted:I'm not sure what to make of Station Eleven based on the first 3 episodes. While this is more light hearted than The Leftovers, I think the same principles apply. The show is mainly about relationships and people dealing with trauma. If you want to get into the plot, mystery or logic of this universe then you're gonna have a bad time. Those reviews are so dire. 50+ reviewers and like twenty brain cells between them.
